What counts as a plumbing emergency?
A plumbing problem can quickly become an emergency when there is a risk of water damage, loss of essential facilities or further damage to your home.
Emergency call-outs can include burst or leaking pipes, uncontrolled water leaks, overflowing toilets, failed plumbing fixtures and other urgent problems that cannot reasonably wait for a normal appointment.

What happens when you call an emergency plumber?
When you call Whitfield, we will first ask a few questions about the problem so we can understand the situation and give you appropriate advice. Where possible, an estimate can be given over the phone before an engineer attends.
- We assess the emergency: our engineer will identify the cause of the problem and determine the safest and most effective solution.
- We agree any further work: if additional work is required, the price will be agreed with you before that work begins.
- We repair or make the problem safe: wherever possible, we will resolve the problem during the initial visit.
- We arrange any necessary return visit: if specialist or non-stocked parts are required, we will make the situation temporarily safe and arrange to return as soon as possible to complete the repair.
Our engineers work cleanly and efficiently, using floor and carpet protection where required and leaving your home clean and tidy once the work is complete.
